My philosophy on food is ‘ everything in balance’ – there are so many ways to ‘diet’ but ultimately we all agree on a plate with lots of veggies! If you eat meat – make it sustainable, humanely sourced

Ensure you are eating from a plate with clean protein, good fat, fiber and greens to make sure you are meeting your body’s needs…and don’t forget to supplement.

I choose organic whenever I can – but look for the clean 15 ( foods that don’t have to be organic because they are generally grown with less chemicals

¼ cup pine nuts

2 cups organic packed basil /parsley

3 cloves garlic

2 cans organic chickpeas

¼ cup olive oil

1 12/ tsp salt

⅓ cup fresh lemon juice

1 tsp chili powder

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

1 tbsp tomato paste (optional)

Toast Pine nuts till lightly brown, set aside. Saute crushed garlic.  In a food processor chop basil/parsley. Add rest of ingredients and blend till smooth.  Add more olive oil to get smoother consistency – I like mine a bit chunky!


Almond flour Banana Bread

Smash some bananas (3 of them!)

3 large eggs

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp cinnamon

2 tbsp maple syrup (I’m Canadian afterall!)

2 cups almond flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)

½ cup dark chocolate chips (low sugar please)

Nuts of your choice

Blend all ingredients and bake in loaf pan at 350 till cooked in the centre and golden brown


Dress the lettuce right!

½ cup vinegar ( ACV,  White Wine, Balsamic)

¾ cup olive oil

2 tsp dijon mustard

½ tsp oregano

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp sage

1 clove garlic, crushed

Shake well and enjoy.  Save in a glass jar in the fridge for weeks.


Qlife green goddess dressing

1 cup (squished) of greens (Parsley, Basil, Broccoli sprouts)

1 cup avo flesh (ripe is best)

1 fresh crushed garlic clove

½ cup of green onion

1 tsp pink sea salt

fresh ground pepper to taste

½ cup water

4 tbsp Apple cider vinegar

4 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice

Mix all in a food processor and enjoy!!



Overnight oats & chia pudding

⅔ cup grass fed plain greek yogurt

1 ⅓ cup almond milk ( favorite is )

½ cup organic gluten free oats

2 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp pure vanilla

pinch of pink salt

1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)

Whisk yogurt and almond milk well, stir in vanilla, salt and maple syrup.  Add oats and chia, mix and let sit overnight.  Top with fresh organic berries, nuts and cinnamon.


Butternut squash soup

1 peeled, cut butternut squash

1 cut peeled sweet potato

1 peeled and cut apple

1 med onion (saute)

2 cloves garlic

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp sage

Salt & Pepper

1 can organic coconut milk

3 cups organic broth ( veggie or chicken )

Add rest of ingredients into a Instapot (except coconut milk), add onion and close lid ( set to manual for 15 min.  Let instapot vent and remove lid.  Using an immersion blender mix until desired consistency, add can of coconut milk and mix again. Add salt & pepper to taste.


 Mint Chip Smoothie!

Coconut water

Non-Dairy Milk

½ Avocado

frozen greens (kale, spinach)

scoop raw cacao powder

scoop plant based protein powder

1 tbsp hemp seeds

2 drops doterra peppermint

raw cacao nibs

fresh mint leaves ( optional)


Chocolate Date Coconut balls

I container medjool dates ( usually about 24 dates).  If not pitted, soak in warm water for 1 hour and then remove pits

2 cups almond meal/flour

1 cup shredded coconut ( reserve ⅓ cup for rolling)

⅔ cup oil

⅔ cup cacao powder

2 tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp flax meal

Peppermint or Wild orange essential oils optional.  Add 4-5 drops to the batch as desired for a refreshing twist!

Add dates to food processor and blend well.  add remaining ingredients slowly and keep mixing till smooth texture.  Roll into 1 inch balls, roll in coconut. Store in fridge for 3-4 days ( also freeze well). DIY


Blueberry Lemon Smoothie

Coconut water

Non-Dairy Milk

½ Avocado

frozen greens (kale, spinach)

1 scoop plant based protein powder

½ cup frozen blueberries

1 tsp maca powder

1 tsp wheatgrass powder

2 drops doterra lemon oil. DIY.


QLife Laundry soap

  • 1 cup Castile Soap (Dr Bronner’s)
  • 1 cup Baking Soda
  • 1/4 cup Salt
  • 12 cups warm Water
  • 20 drops of your favorite Essential Oil (doTerra On guard, Lavender work well)
  • Mix all together and put in an old liquid detergent jug. Shake well before each use.
  • Follow with wool dryer balls in the dryer (they have no chemicals and last 1000 loads).


Clean those Veggies! 

¼ cup vinegar

¼ water

1 tsp baking soda

10 drops doterra essential oil (any citrus)

Put baking soda in a small bowl and add essential oil.  Mix and slowly add vinegar (watch it bubble!) This is a fun one for kids to make.  Let the fizz settle before adding to the bottle and then top with water.  Enjoy your clean fruits and veggies :0)



Zucchini Lemon Loaf 



Scare blend 

I have had a few friends come and ask for a blend to create a roller ball for them for scaring.  This blend works great to support the healing process.   Using a 10ml glass roller ball, add the essential oils below and topped with fractionated coconut oil. Roll over the area of concern several times daily.

10 drops doTerra Frankincense

10 drops doTerra Geranium

5 drops doTerra Helichrysum

10 drops doTerra Lavender


2 Minute Chocolate mediation 

Okay, I know everyone is talking about meditation, but seriously, if that trying to focus on your breath seems like a stretch for you….try this!

Take two squares of your favorite chocolate (see my favs below) and put on your tongue, now close your eyes and let that chocolate melt away.  Focus on the sensations you feel, taste, smell…and when you mind wonders, come back to the chocolate again (remember don’t chew it..just let it melt away).

I love dark chocolate- the darker the better.  Did you know that dark chocolate is better for you since it generally contains less sugar, and one of my favorite brands  Lily’s is sugar free.  Another favorite is HU chocolate – both of these brands will provide some serious enjoyment without all the sugar and oils, fillers of poorer quality chocolate.

Dry shampoo

2 tbsp corn starch, 10 drops rosemary essential oil, 10 drops peppermint essential oil and add raw cacao powder to darken depending on your hair color! Apply with a blush brush
